Formosan Brothers' Partner Albert Su and Associate Tim Tsai were invited as lecturers for the "Patent Protection for New Dosage Forms" class at the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Technology and Development Center ("MPITDC") on September 17, 2019. The topic of the class was "Patent Risk Management throughout the Life Cycle of Drug Development." Based on the sequence in drug development, Mr. Su and Mr. Tsai discussed the possible patent and intellectual property issues relating to the development, clinical trials, examination and registration, product launch, etc. They also made suggestions in regard to the risk management of R&D personnel and targets, data exclusivity, patent linkage, reverse payment, and patent litigation.
